According to a post over at Engadget, HP is also preparing an Eee PC killer, but with much more class just as we would expect from HP. According to Engadget they have no reason to doubt the authenticity of the pictures they got, so this one might be closer than expected.
The HP Compaq 2133 features a bigger 8.9 inch screen which is scratch resistant and has a resolution of 1366x766 pixels (WXGA). It will also come with an ExpressCard/54 slot, Wireless LAN, a keyboard that is nearly full-sized (95% of a full keyboard) and SSD as an option. All of this will be packed into an anodized aluminum chassis weighing around 1.13kg.
It isn't strange that HP decided to take the same road that all other notebook manufactures have taken after the Asus Eee PC mania. If anything it looks sturdier than Asus' little thing, and the screen is a more reasonable size to make this a great ultra portable solution.
