Laptops HP Pavilion dv5t or Dell Inspiron 1525

it would be better if u could tell the specs of models u are intersted in.

+HP dv5t is based on newer technology "Intel Montevina" if i m not wrong.

+It also has better looks and better build quality according to the reviews.

-Most probably it is going to be costlier than Dell counterpart.

You can check its review at HP Pavilion dv5t Review

just to confuse u more now dell offers centrino2 on studio 15. at a much lower price i shall be going in for the same. 10k or so cheaper. check it out. or else HP rules for sure. im just not in the mood to spend 65k thats all

dunno about the DV5 but +1 for the studio 15!

I got mine for 700$ for C2D 2.1Ghz, 3GB 667MHz RAM, 250GB HDD, backlit k/b and fingerprint reader. I really like the notebook!

700$ mate thats hell of a deal with such a sweet configuration......

and @jesal - yes you have definitely succeeded in confusing me...but thats the whole point of seeking opinion from guys like you......

Thanks....have already started thinking on the lines of Dell....:D

Isn't Dells supposed to give better products at cheaper prices coz they are direct to user sales only?

No wholesaler/reseller margins,No Movie star branding,......

These taxes and stuff are killing the deals :(

Dell is good:hap2:

Yeah. Initially I was also under the impression that as DELL is directly selling these to us without middlemen involved it would be very cheap compared to other brands.
But it looks like they just take the middleman's share for themselves instead of selling them cheaper (or maybe the other brands do not allow them to sell cheaper?)
