Facebook has been rumored to be working on its own smartphone for quite sometime, but has been denying any such plans. But now an HTC device dubbed Opera UL is rumored to be the Facebook branded smartphone.
PocketLint has heard from a reliable source that HTC Opera UL is an OEM product for Facebook.
The HTC Opera UL has also appeared in NenaMark2 results which further makes us believe that it could be real. The Nenamark2 results point out that it has 1.4GHz processor and Qualcomm Adreno 305 GPU. The display has 1280x720 resolution and it is running Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean OS.
We will have to wait for a word from HTC or Facebook to know if its really in works and will it be the first smartphone from the social networking giant.
