What if I say he gave us a faulty piece? You wont believe coz you are captivated with that high no. of posts or some itrust scorings. Is it a proof of someone's future conduct?
No its not. So better be wise & think before you speak.
You really think no one else was in your poistion ever. I bought a PSP from a low post count newbie member on these very forums. The day I received it, I checked everything and found that there was problem connecting and transferring files from my Computer. I infomed the seller immediately and asked his opinion on what might be the problem. He had no useful clues, I then trouble shooted myself and found that the USB cable supplied was bad and using a different cable works. I bought the PSP at my own risk and responsibility, so I did not press him any futhter on that. Even if the PSP were not working, I would have left the matter at the discretion of the seller. I would not shamelessly (As you put it yourself) demand a refund because I read the terms of the sale and understand that I bought it on trust and at my own risk.
Its not like anybody wants to victimize your or anything. In your case, Whatever evidence there is points to your being entirely at fault. The seller specifically mentioned "No warranty", If you purchase in spite of that, it means that you are purchasing solely at your own risk and responsibility and you are entitled to jack legally or morally and its entirely at the discretion of the seller what to do if something does not work. Secondly you claimed that there was a problem the very first day, then why didn't you inform the seller immediately. No one in his sane mind would go ahead and so something as big as a firmware update (Which almost always carries a risk of something going wrong) that already has problems without informing the seller or have the audacity to claim a refund after bricking the phone. Whatever entitlement you had (albeit even at the discretion of the seller) went poof when you took that step.
Just put yourself in the sellers place, if I bought a phone from you and you do not hear of any problems after I received it. I mess around with it for a week and then after a week claim that the phone has bricked and that there was a problem from the start, what would you think? In a Jiffy, you would come to the very same conclusion that the people here have arrived at.
If indeed there was problem from the first day and you had informed the buyer immediately, the seller and the rest of us would have trusted you, but not after the suspicious way you have handled things.

You are misconceived about this. You have got absolutely no god damned reason to fight at all. You are just fighting without any valid reason.

Shamelessly indeed.
