I love ASUS. Prefer intel over amd. However open to both.

AnandTech - Bench - CPU,

with the Intel RIG you'll need to invest on a discrete graphics card, the AMD Llano saves over their with a decent IGP but forfeits raw CPU power for this.

Also what speaker system do you want to hook with the ASUS Xonar, assuming we could place one in your budget.
