Complex Presentations - MS Powerpoint 2007 and above has GPU assisted hardware acceleration. I can see extremely complex presentations benefiting from a dedicated GPU. Other than that, presentations also often take the from of high definition video, flash animations, PDFs, real time 3D rendering which all benefit from GPU acceleration.
Financial Analysis - Financial Analysis software do seem to be utilizing GPGPU (especially CUDA) based computing these days.
High Resolution Video - Definitely benefits from GPU acceleration and a dedicated GPU.
Video Conferences - software used for high resolution video conferencing benefit from GPU acceleration
Dual Monitor setup - Multi-monitor setups is always a forte of dedicated GPUs.
I don't see anything here that is an outright lie and bad enough to be borderline fraud like for instance is the case with most of Apples marketing. The market is comprised of both techies and non-techies and people in between. techies don't need marketing to understand such things. However for non-techies, companies have to put down the benefits in a more practical and down to earth terms and the same is often over exaggerated as well.
