Budget 0-20k i7 4770 or i7 4790k

Confused between these two. I am getting new box packed 4770 from a friend for 11k and another friend of mine is selling 4790k (about 5 months used) for 18k. So which one should I go for?

yeah, the 4790k is a nice chip but not worth 7k more than a new 4770

an asus b85 or h97 based mobo will be most suitable. msi and asrock are other vendors you can consider.
avoid gigabyte as they have cut down on the quality of their mobos a lot.

I am getting MSI MPOWER AC MAX Z97 for 11k with 2 years of warranty remaining, how is it for that price?

seems like a really feature rich board albeit aimed at overclockers.
