What say guys of the new rules??

The ICC Chief Executives' Committee has approved the introduction of the following innovations for all One-Day International cricket:

# Fielding restrictions reduced from 15 overs to 10 overs
# Two additional blocks of 5 overs for fielding restrictions to be selected by the Captain
# Captains to be allowed to substitute a batsman, bowler or fielder during the duration of the match
# The substituted player will be ruled out of the match from then on and the substitute will take his place, but both will receive a Cap for that match
# Third umpire can be consulted by the on-field umpire for certain decisions, with the final decision remaining with the on-field umpire. This will only be used during the ICC Super Series in October
The changes will come into effect from July 30.

I think this will make ODI's much more interesting... Still nothing special in for bowlers... I pity them... We can now expect avg match scores around 300 now... Even in BIG Newzealand and Australian Grounds...

Substitution can lead to inclusion of extra bowler or batsmen, i mean for eg captain can play a batsman if they are batting first, say like Md. Kaif and when they can on to bowl, he can be replaced for a quality bowler like Harbhajan Singh(who mostly have to sacrifise his play due to Anil Kumble) and vice versa if they bowl first.
That's definately make cricket more exciting, and save lot of trouble for indian selectors !
