Audio IEM Under 2K

Hi everyone !

I recently bought a Soundmagic PL-21 , i loved its bass, but i would like to enjoy a bit more soundstage, . So, i gave the pl-21 to my bro and now i am in the market again , this time the budget is raised to 2000 for something which has nice bass( i need bass coz i hear lots of trance and housemix) and good mids( i hear my fairbit of semi-classical too :D) . I am really confused on what to buy!
NuForce NE-6, Pl-30 these 2 are the only ones in my knowledge.
I know the pl-30 is pretty bass shy. I dont know about the soundsage of NE-6 in comparison with pl-21?

So, guys i am open to your suggestions!

Also Wats Burn-in? does earphones on the bottom of the ladder like pl-21 have differnece after burn in?

Wat is the difference btw NE6& NE7M other than an addition of a mic???(and price diff of course :D)
Then if its just a mic, y cant i just buy an NE6?
M2 wont come in my budget will it?
 
krishna_bhargav is seling his newly bought NE7M, get the deal if it's not already taken by someone else. He's selling it for 1.6k which is really a steal price. Market price would be around 2.5k
 
I am in the exact situation as OP (except that i gave my PL21 to my sis :lol:) and am looking for a sub 2K upgrade. The other NE7M from the market section seems gone if you follow the posts there.

So watching this thread closely for suggestions regarding the same.
 
^^^ I didnt find one :(. New one from PristineNote is for 2.7K, thats way too out of my budget.

So guys is there really nothing under 2K worth upgrading to from a PL-21 ?
 
From the research for the past week, i have come to the conclusion tat ther is no perfect upgrade from pl-21 to anything sub 2k! so, i decided to save some more money and buy the Brainwavs M2 soon ! :)

I'll second you on that one. Me too was reading reviews the past 3-4 days, and as you say there is no absolute upgrade from the PL-21 in terms of overall SQ for under 2K. So yes thinking about the M2 now. Although for a moment i was tempted by the RE-2, but reviews advise an amp like E5 to get the best out of it (read bass :D). I personally find it inconvenient carrying an amp around. Can RE-2 users elaborate on this aspect ?
