So posting this after a ruthless session of troubleshooting. While some people enjoyed no / less work because of this issue, I got crazy with some headbanging mailing issues.

Error : None of the authentication methods supported by this client are supported by your server.

How : Suddenly out of no where , all of a sudden.

Reason : Unknown.

Impact : No Outgoing mails (internal and external)

Resolution Tree :

- Check other PC , same issue.

- Reboot PC , same issue.

- Reboot Router , same issue.

- Call ISP (Airtel)

Troubleshoot , enable routing / relaying - same issue

- Airtel asks to contact domain.

- Contact domain - All clear, no issue their end.

- Call Airtel , do more tests, all clear their end.

- Check router again , all clear - all sites work , ftp , download all 100kbps +

- Try another router - Same Issue! :@

^ This confirmed there is something beyond the router.

- I sat relaxed for 5 mins....got of my seat...went to the small fugly blinking beetel box :@ power switch off ....power switch on....

- Go back to my seat and everything back to normal :@

khoda pahad nikla chuha!.....posting this just fyi.....dont ignore that box ever! in case of a wireless setup having issues.....

now everyone has so many mails to attend to

points to ponder :

1) couldnt check via webmail because webmail was down, else it would cut down the route of contacting mail provider etc.

2) the damm error message is misguiding and after googling abt it it led to so many solutions.

3) since 'everything' worked except outlook and that too smtp, all u think abt is ports and relaying and blockage etc.

Just felt like posting this for anyone who would like to keep this info. if encountering the same issue...( i know hardly any outlook users here :P)
