Importing GPU from US

Guys my relative might be visiting India in December this yr.
Thinking of buying GPU during thanks giving day.

But have 2 important queries:
  1. Any chances prices will be somewhat lower during thanksgiving week
  2. Import duty on that gpu (any trick to evade or should the gpu box be opened/carried in person or luggage etc)

I have tried to procure a 3000 series card but the prices are ridiculously high both in the US and Canada. Carrying in person is the best option when possible .

If somehow the prices do come down to MSRP (or reasonable levels, so 10-20% over MSRP), and your relative is travelling to India and will bring GPU with himself, may I request for another one to be added to the luggage :p

No ways its going to be at msrp or even near to it. My point is just awaiting how much lower it can go during that sale and the main criteria is custom duties after landing in India.. I know theres a way to clear them legally without paying a penny but forgot the path..

Will this bring down the GPU prices now?
haha this is like that 20th time china is doing it nothing will change just few days market collapse and then everything will get back to normal .

1. Prices will not be lower as these are hot cakes . All you can do is register in different sites like NewEgg shuffle or if your relative is fine just tell him to visit some BestBuy stores heard people are getting GPU's at MSRP .
2. Just open sealed box get it India and you will not be charged anything extra..
