im thinking of purchasing few stuff from infibeam .. a headphone and a soundcard

is it safe to buy from that site ..
how is the customer care ....
they say shipping will be done in 3-4 days ... is this true ???

the only problem is the dont accept COD on all products else would have bought it without tension :(

CC is good for nothing, Had very bad experience on my first purchase! Havent looked in its direction after that!

Talk of the devil :P Wanted to start a thread myself.

I placed an order for Halo 3 last thursday after checking with them through mail and phone to confirm the stock. Then on Monday i shot a mail to them asking for an update. They said the product will be shipped soon and that it'll be delivered by 6th of August (10 days!!!).

Today they called me and said there is no stock and that they'll give me a coupon for the purchased amount plus Rs.100. I got pissed off, buggers wasted 1 week of my time, despite checking prior to placing the order. Shouted at them and finally they said they'll initiate the refund process and that it'll take 5 days for me to get back the amount.

Sad experience with them. Though this might be a one off case, but considering i checked with them prior to placing the order and still them screwing it up is a big put off for me.

Edit : Looks like i am not the only person with sour experience. @ISHROCZ, i'll rename this thread such that others can post their general feedback here.
 
^was searching for a thread. It was in GT eh. Will merge later and move it here. You seem to have a really bad experience with them. They have still listed the product i ordered to be in stock Microsoft Video Game Price India, Buy Halo 3 Online, Best Games India - Infibeam.com .

Check their reply when i asked them about the stock.

I ordered it within 2 hours after getting this reply (i.e around 7am).
 
well i emailed them yesterday and got a response within a day ... ie today morning ... then replied thier mail again .. then i got a reply by evening .....

actually the price of the headies and sound card is the lowest i can get ... no other place is having such low prices !!! .. i hope those products are genuine !!!

i wanted to buy Steelseries Siberia headphones .. price 2750 + steel series siberia USB soundcard .. price 1049

i wanted to ask whether i can get CASH ON DELIVERY !!!

i stay in NAVI MUMBAI .. i purchase lot of stuff from fashion and you and other sites but only on CASH ON DELIVERY .. cause theres a lot of chance on being cheated on online TRANSACTIONS !!!

if you can offer COD on these producets + proper warranty and contact of the person whom to approach if the product has some issues then i will purchase both the products within a day or 2 :)

^^Don't make the mistake of making a cash deposit. Use credit card as you would have proper proof of the transaction. Their accounts section and customer care is very disorganized that that they don't know when some one deposits money into their account.
 
totally confused .. will check some reviews and then chose whther to buy from them or not !!!

Get it from letsbuy.com. You can use a discount coupon and get it for cheaper than infibeam and Yes, they do offer COD...

omg they instantly provided COD for those products ..

ordered STEELSERIES SIBERIA V1 + STEELSERIES SIBERIA SOUNDCARD :))
 
They are *generally* good but might delay the shipping a bit.

I remember ordering an iPod Touch from them in March using CoD & had to wait exactly for 10 days before the damn thing was shipped. By that time I was so pissed that I went ahead buying an iPad locally & refused to acknowledge the courier.

But a week back they were offering Tarun Tejpal's "The Valley of Masks" for 50% off (probably the ONLY site giving that much discount). So went ahead and pre-ordered it. To my utmost surprise, I received the courier the very same day of the book launch.
 
^ as far as it is COD .. even if it takes 10-15 days its fine .. as theres no tension !!!

now they have said ill get my shipment around 16th .. its absoultely fine if they mention it at the time of placing order ...

it really suxx if we buy online and they claim that we will get shipment ASAP within a day or 2 and then it takes ages for the product to reach us !!
 
got my STEELSERIES HEADPHONES .. + the SOUNDCARD .. via BLUEDART (on my req) today

awesome packing ..

ordered on 4th night .. got the package on 10th :D

Placed an order with Infibeam on 1st Sep. It was supposed to ship by 7th Sep. There has been no shipment & no communication. I sent an email, there was no response. I called CC, standard reply - "We have forwarded your concern". After that no communication.

I will never buy anything from this site again, no matter how sweet the deal is.
