inkjet printer 2-2.5k for home use

Looking for inkjet printer max 2.5k . Will be used mainly for studies purpose.

Does refilling cause damage to the printer. Is it necessary to use only original cartridges.

What are the precautions to be taken to ensure that the ink does not dry up

Refilling done properly does not cause damage to the printer.

In order to ensure that the cartridges do not dry up, use the printer at least once a week.

Epson TX121 is what I use .. bought cartridges from ebay in bulk and they come cheap .. like 90 bucks for 1 black cartridge and that easily works for quite a lot of pages and the printer is for 2.1k if i remember correctly

^^ TX121 is an AIO - Printer/Scanner and Copier and costs ~3k

@ OP - Get Epson T13. 1749/- on flipkart.

Thanks. It will be used mainly for black& white printouts only. T13 uses four cartridges ? Cyan,magenta,yellow,black? So its gona be expensive to refill.

No. That won't make a difference. you can buy this: Epson 73N Compatible Refillable Cartridge Empty Set | eBay and then get a bottle of black ink for 150 bucks or so and keep refilling the black ink. epson cartridges are the easiest to refill.

.. and if you wish to keep the cartridge alive for long time (refilling again & again) do not suck last drop of cartridge, no harm to leave few drops of ink before you pull it out for refilling.

And when the ink runs out, dont wait for a week to refill the cartridge, do it asap within 48~72 hrs.
