Re: sandy bridge CPU/MOBO prices/availability..

WTF I just called primeabgb @ lamington road mumbai and they said Sandy bridge and GTX570 will arrive 10 days later ... I can understand sandy bridge but even gtx570 what failness

Re: sandy bridge CPU/MOBO prices/availability..

Delta page had Jan18th as the availability for SB from last week of Dec IINM. So i guess thats the mass availability date for India. :(

Re: sandy bridge CPU/MOBO prices/availability..

10 days w00t! :D

So I suppose by Feb-end we shall have the processor pricing stablised and more dealers might bring up combo offers. I am going to sell my old system once I am done with Dead Space 2! Crysis 2 Muhahahaha! :ohyeah:

GTX 570 is available in Calcutta I think

Re: sandy bridge CPU/MOBO prices/availability..

but what about core i7 2600k ... hell my rig is delayed ... wtf ...

Re: sandy bridge CPU/MOBO prices/availability..

even when it initially comes prices would be little higher. feb end should be the right time to buy the sandy bridge.

Re: sandy bridge CPU/MOBO prices/availability..

Not really. Observing the trend of Core i7 920, 860 and AMD 5850, their prices didn't budge for all practical purposes till at least a year after their release.

I would say buy them the day they launch over here.

Re: sandy bridge CPU/MOBO prices/availability..

by feb end bulldozer will come out naa ? .. or is that a little later O.o ?

Re: sandy bridge CPU/MOBO prices/availability..

:P .... i am afraid not, the bulldozer has still a long time to go .... buy the sandybridge ...dnt play the 'wait game' buddy !!! there is always something coming up !

Re: sandy bridge CPU/MOBO prices/availability..

even i am w8ing for sandybridge.......... called few shops in ritchie street other than delta...... they said it wont be available before feb.......

icc gave a quote of 11,900 for the asus pro motherboard :P
Decent pricing indeed. No warranty mind you. If it was the processor, would have made sense since Intel honors local warranty.

Gigabyte GA-H67MA-UD2H ~ 7.5k
Gigabyte GA-H67A-UD3H ~ 9k
Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD3R ~ 9.6k
Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD4 ~12.6k
Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD7 ~ 19.2k
Prices are Okish kind for the initial launch i guess.
Not really, the US pricing is much lower. And in the last few years the mobo pricing in india has been pretty much on par or a little higher than US prices. If a P67 motherboard is priced at 6k then we're talking.

Im thinking i'd rather wait till Z68 comes out. I wouldnt want to lose the transcoding feature :/

Re: sandy bridge CPU/MOBO prices/availability..

@hunt3r: I was also thinking on the sames lines (a la Z68)... but just read the article on TechReport about Lucid Softwares GPU virtualizer enabling QuickSync on P67 board. Can't provide the link, as it appears to be removed from the site (here is reference link to the same article on another site : Lucid software lets P67 mobos access QuickSync video | Hardware.Info Nederland).

Now, I am not sure if the article was pulled because of mis-information or any other legality, but if it's true then I think it's a good news for people like us who are waiting for Z68 for the same reason. However, I think it also could be a technical error (in the article) as P67 doesn't have any hardware provision to access on-die GPU. Guess it's back to the wait and watch game. :@
