TechEnclave’s journey began in March 2005, the month we officially opened our doors to the public. It’s amazing to think we’re approaching our 20th anniversary—a milestone that feels both surreal and deeply gratifying. Over the years, while the world transformed rapidly and new platforms like Quora, Reddit, OLX, and Quikr emerged, TechEnclave remained a steadfast community.

Reaching this anniversary is no small feat, and it’s a testament to our members, moderators, and volunteers who’ve made TechEnclave what it is. We couldn’t have come this far without the support and passion of everyone involved.

In true TechEnclave style, let’s bring our collective creativity together to celebrate this special moment. We’re open to all suggestions on how to make this milestone memorable. With enough time to plan, we’re aiming for a month-long celebration beginning in the last week of March 2025.

Share your ideas, big or small, and let’s make this anniversary a celebration to remember!

Wow, this thread really reminds me how much time has flown! I joined back in 2008 as a fresh college student, and TechEnclave has been an incredible part of my journey ever since. I've seen so many forums come and go, and I truly hope TE sticks around for decades to come.

For the 20th anniversary, I was thinking we could have some fun contests and giveaways—maybe special badges, prizes, or other ways to recognize and celebrate the community!

Sigh, this reminds me how old I am and fast approaching retirement or senility or both.
On a serious note, for me TE will always occupy a special place in my heart. I hope this amazing and fantastic community continues to thrive for many many eons, thanks to all the hard work and contribution of the Mods, Admins and members. I am sure everyone realizes that it helped us all cope through the COVID lockdowns.
On this special occasion we can have meetups across cities, wherever feasible.

Amazing.
Thanks again for those wonderful years to all who have contributed to this forum.

I don't have much ideas but maybe a friendly football or cricket match between team A and B in the city . Randomly selected followed by nice get together party.

TE and overclock.net (established in 2004) are the longest-running tech forums that I know of, and they are still going strong.

Such a brilliant milestone, with a brilliant group of members.

Month-long lan party! Except we stay at home and connect online.
Not a bad idea, maybe we can host some gaming servers. Completely out of this scene now. What is it that is popular and easy to play for most people these days where we can host private game events?

CS Go...
Bacha bacha has played this during thier school, engineering/graduation day.

I recall my batchmates playing this all in the name of Final Year project.
But yeah, hats off to everyone for reaching this milestone.

A forum thrives when people actively contribute, sharing ideas, experiences, and solutions. Without this, it’s just the moderators keeping the lights on.

Many forums struggle with low traffic and engagement, but people will return and participate if they find unique, valuable content they can’t get anywhere else.

CS 1.6 would be a better choice. It's still there and servers can still be setup. Plus runs on everything easily and is far more nostalgic

Growing up, I recall the Hindu had this feature of publishing an article from 50 years ago. It was a window to another world for me.
It would be interesting to see some old threads or content again. I know in the past we used to have news letters and they were discontinued because of the effort (I recall volunteering to create one or two). But hey fellow kids, this is what gen ai is supposedly good at. Maybe it could work? ("Hey chatgpt share a summary of posts from this day in te from 2005" types)

Not a bad idea. Of course it’ll be fabricated content but it will closely resemble the theme of discussions that year. Chat GPT will not have archives of TE.
