Is galaxy Y VFM?

My sister needs an budget android phone? Her budget is 7k only.

Is Galaxy y is value for that money, is there any alternate recommendations?

It is her first smart phone.

For a girl, its total VFM. Its small and "cute and guess what it also has android"

Anyways, it still is a good choice under that budget. If budget approves, you could look at other samsung offerings in the near range. Also, HTC explorer is a buzz around the market too, have a look at it. (although a bit over budget, but coupons and online trade will be a life saver)

its VFM and the short comings wont be much of an issue for a first time smartphone user.

get it as soon as there are some real good deals on samsung Y !!

If you are asking ,is it VFM ?Yes, certainly it is.

I do not like the display resolution of the phone.

How about a DELL XCD 35, if its available and you can manage a coupon ?

as a paper weight yes. as a smartphone NO! there are better phones. check Optimus pro, DELL XCD 35, Spice Mi-310 etc.

It is VFM but better options are present who are more VFM .

LG Optimus and Blade are better phones.

Its total VFM, since you also get the Quality Guarantee 7 Service of Samsung and Android market place apps, what more can you get in 7K ??

Its a steal at 7k. Considering the features. Look at processor 825Mhz. Gud at that price point. Anyways the processor matters the least when u buy phne for a girl!!!

First thing she will ask is "how is the camera? Will it click good pictures? is it good looking?

maybe keep these in mind before buying any

she bought yesterday in local store in chennai at 7400.

I play with the phone just 15 minutes, it speeds is very good, but display is not so good, but adjustable.

It is only 2mp camera, so it doesn't perform too good.

but i am sure it is VFM.

I would suggest going for the Wave M for the following:

- Better 2MP camera (pic quality and higher res videos)

- Great interface on Bada

- Good screen, HVGA resolution

- Cuteness factor in looks, appeal to girls

- Good battery life

Don't go for Galaxy Y
