Monitors Is it a S-ips or Tn panel??

I Currently have a dell 1707fp ultrasharp 17' panel. Was curios to know if it is a s-ips or Tn panel as it was purchased for 16k a year back.
In waht way is this panel better than the analog 17" monitor that dell sells??
Am a lcd tech noob so pls enlighten.

The 17" and 19" FP ones are TN Film. Theres also the FPV series which are S-PVA.

The only Dell S-IPS Panels are 2007WFP and 3007WFP. 2407WFP is S-PVA and 2007FP (Non-Widescreen) is either a S-PVA or S-IPS.
