I have an Iomega 2TB Prestige External Hard Drive. It was working perfectly well until it accidently fell down.
It was ON while it fell down.
These are the images of the external hdd showing the damage caused.

Now when I connect it to the PC, although it powers up (it recieves power properly, the white light glows), it doesnt get detected by Windows.
But it spins (humming sound) for 5-6 seconds and then stops for 2-3 secs. This repeats for about 10 times after which the sound stops completely.
Is my Hard drive damaged? If yes, Will I be able to recover the data? Is the damage reversible?
If not damaged, what are the ways of repairing the hard drive?
