Issue with Sound Card - Youtube Lags

Sound Card - Asus Xonar XE 5.1 through PCI Port
GPU - Zotac 1660 Super AMP Edition 6 GB DDR6
Monitor MSI Optrix G27C4 with DP cable, 165Hz Refresh Rate.

So I never found the reason before, but mostly my youtube video stops and then lags for 5 secs.
Video and sound does not go out of sync, but as a whole everything stops for 3-5 sec and then starts.
Happens with almost alternate videos I am watching, it is really annoying.
I though this is due to graphics driver or chrome or os issue so tried them one by one.
But last time when I formatted OS, didnt plugin the Sound Card, and to my surprise it was running like butter.
So then I installed the card and the problem started. It happens mostly when the youtube window is not active and running in background.
All drivers are updated.

Anybody knows any solution ?
 
Try downgrading the driver.
while youtube is playing, is there any other audio application like some media player running in background ?

also try playing youtube on any other browser like internet explorer or firefox
 
You can try to disable 'exclusive mode' in the windows sound settings. I have faced similar issues with audio on Netflix app on windows 10. Disabling the exclusive mode fixed it.
