long story short, was doing the usual shuffling of data and backing up stuff and I came across my truecrypt vault. Spent the past 2 hours trying to remember the password and mount the drive (been over a year I opened it). Ruined. Period. :no:

Edit : mods please trash this....managed to remember

P.S : Just a note to all...if you don't remember the .tc file password, its all gone....so always remember or make the 'keys' for the same.

I'm in a similar situation, found a FolderLock vault, don't remember the password. Thing is I know whats in it and I want it

Moral of the story don't make vaults whose passwords are not worth remembering. :huh:

I understand your loss but suggest you keep a secret but a common password which is easy to remember or make a generic password for eg: with 1st 2 letters of all your family members name, it could be anything which you can relate to later.
