Kindle with special Offers

I am planning to order Kindle with special Offers from Amazon.com.What the problmes i might face like import duties/warranty etc etc

amazon offers direct delivery for kindle to Indian address, was delivered in 3 days.

Cost - 20 $ for delivery and 40$ for customs.. btw I ordered the amazon kindle WiFi (135 $)

PS: Other options might be cheaper, but I didn't have the patience to check the local options.

Order it off ebay. I got mine a couple of weeks back for ~Rs.7000.
Didn't have to worry about duties etc, but spent 2 weeks fiddling my thumbs waiting.
However, the Kindle with special offers doesn't have an Indian warranty, you'll have to send it to a friend in the US who can then claim the warranty for you.
If you get the Kindle with wi-fi delivered to your Indian address, then Amazon will give you support in India.

But amazon also has a international version for 139$ inclusive of shipping.This is is devoid of customs right?

makes sense ordering this without special offers and avoiding customs.

^ The $139 is for shipping within the US. For India there will be additional shipping costs + customs duties + octroi (depending on where you live).
