A thread was long due. The executive designer for the game is Ken Rolston, the lead designer for TES III: Morrowind, its expansions and TES IV: Oblivion. And the game is said to be a hybrid of God of War and Skyrim. Now this better be good! :p

I would like any game if it has some decent combos and would be even more more nice if it is button smasher. :p

hope this game has nice hack and slash combos.

Been following this for a while now ... i do hope it lives up to all the expectations that it is creating. Expecially love the mmo-feel art style they have used.

^^ Sire, did you play The Witcher 2 I found it to be an amazing RPG, off the rails of the usual westerns we were being treated to by BioWare and Bethesda [read Fallout 3 and Dragon Age II].

Sure it was a sequel but it really came into its own this time around, great graphics, a good button smasher [made you think before you jumped into a bunch of enemies] and some really mature content. Topped off with interesting voice acting and humor.

It's a great game. Didn't finish it though, still in Chapter 2, thanks to Skyrim

Dragon Age II was the biggest letdown from Bioware.

^I've decided to skip the Dragon Age series as a result. The reviews for the sequel wasn't all that great either. Pretty sure Origins, Awakening and DA II will consume a lot of time. I really hope KoAR lives up to the hype!

Oh no don't leave out Origins. All the other recent Medevial rpg games are second to it. You cannot miss Origins.

^^ True, I have the Ultimate Edition, got the entire bundle of DLC's / armor packs / redeem codes and both the Main acts of the original Dragon Age -- Origins and Awakening. Good game and really good setting, story line and characterization.

But medieval RPG's = Witcher 2 for me now, read the books, gone through the dev. diaries can honestly put it down, that no studio could pull of what CD ProjecktRED achieved with the Witcher series.

Dragon Age II was really rushed in my opinion.

Oh here is the trailer, I'm surprised no one linked it, but here is my tiny contribution --

Played the demo for 10 mins yesterday. It's quite good. The graphics are nothing like Skyrim, it's more like Fable. But the settings, artwork, architecture are pretty good looking in their own way. The comabt is the strong point of the game. It feels really powerfull, looks a lot cooler and there a lot of moves unlike the simple hack n slash of Skyrim. The gear looks pretty neat, and there are these cool sword followthrough effects with each slice.

Will play some more today, more info soon.

This must have been the longest demo that I have ever played. It took me 45 minutes to get outside the tower (where we are placed initially) and had to close it when the clock timer hit to explore the remaining area of Allestar Glade.Gorhart Village, and Odarath. It has a 45 minute time lock from that point. The graphics are downright pathetic, going by today's standard. The combat is decent. You have the option to pick one of the 4 classes (2 Humans and 2 Fae) available in the demo and each have their own unique abilities. A lot of enhancement options are provided in this demo, which is pretty good. They haven't overly complicated the RPG elements, so newbies should be comfortable with it as well. The PC version demo is supposedly a bug-fest, so be warned. I have mixed impressions, to be honest. Some part of me likes the combat, while the rest just loathes the poor visual quality. I guess the full game might be worth a try somewhere in the distant future.

guess we can forgive Amalur in graphics department- IF they deliver in combat/game mechanics at 100%! coz theres so many games out there right now that are not good at anything rather than "sitting around looking pretty"
