Yeah so true.
My friend got one at a price ..which was unbelievable... and he was all Hoop De la the whole day.I was like ???? When he came to visit me I wanted to see it with my 2 eyes.
I held the package & took out the drive ...Unbelievable ....my inner desire started to erupt....I wanted to to get it too...Who would not?

Finally I decided to get one too & was planning to ask him to get one for me when it was time for him to go..Thats when the angels saved me.

Plugged it in .Immediately went to Properties Saw 31.8gb free & 50 mb used
He had used his pen drive to copy 40mb data ,then transferred it on to my HDD.Imagine 40mb on a 32GB!!!!Wackow

I decided to use his drive to the maximum.So went to my wallpaper collection on ma HDD [Wherein i had files sorted into folders based on their resolutions]
Decided to copy my whole 5 Gb of Precious[Atleast to me] data to his pen drive.Took 13 minutes.Then again tested with the pen drive on via Prooerties..Was perfect

Then we removed the pen drive

Then we tried to copy the same back to my HDD.After copying Only 1 of the original 8 folders copied perfectly....just 488mb of the total 5gb...just 10%
He was stunned[Just imagine]

Then we checked the same over properties....Still the original was showing.

only then We came to realise its a fake...He was cheated.I just dont have the heart to express his feelings...Just imagine more than the money....his desire for the product
The total cost of Product which he bought was Just INR 400

400INR loss ...its not about the money ...But just imagine the shatter of one's desire...his gleeful smile turned to a frown....

So Lesson Learnt....Have attached few of the photos of the Pen Drive....Guys Beware!!!!

Well do this.

Go to kingston service station and get it checked there and check if they take for replacing.

I doubt its fake cause what you say happens only when either memory is bad or the memory controller is not working properly.

Did you do speed checks? Do you get any error when you try to copy the other 7 folders? What made you believe its fake other than the price?
 
Well it copied..when we plugged it again the other folders were empty.

We googled and found out that there were fakes of the 32 gb available on the net & on e-bay.

Then we checked the kingston website...here we verified the model of the pen drive against the ones listed out ...and found the lime green model is available from kingston but the 2 gb model as against the 32 gb model.
 
definitely a fake one. even couple of my friends got the same device at the same price. when i first heard about it,..my reaction was similar to yours. and all of them have faced some problem or the other with the pen drives.

if anybody comes across this,..dont go for it,..definitely a scam.
 
hmmmm...Copy some GB data on 32 GB pen Drive from Computer 1 and again copy that same data on Computer 2 the second computer not show the copied data :eek:hyeah: and if u cut that data you will lose that data permanently....

i am one of the victim of this so called 32Gb pen Drive:mad:

wtf, cmon getting a 32GB pendrive for 400 bucks, u and ur friend should have realized its a fake before buying it

Crying foul doesnt make sense, if the fake had costed same price as original and u purchased it without knowing, then its a diff matter
 
my office colleague offered me a 32 gb brand pen drive for 1000 Rs. only .. he says his mother brought it from her office to make a report .. before i buy it, he's giving me a testing period . will post the update soon
 
lol, my friend got a Kingston 80gb pendrive for 500 bucks from delhi.

He says it works fine, when I said if I could borrow it for 1 day he said NO, wonder why. :)
 
i just don understand how u guys fall for this......if dey cheat common people ...can understand but guys 4m this forum....shame on us.....well 1 salesguy came 2 my flat on sunday selling 32 gb.....put it infront of him into lappy n kaboom.........well 1 thing for sure he wont b selling again that pendrive in his life time.....guys just b more practical while thinkin of buyin dese things......Hope no 1 else get cheated again

Lol Kingston doesn't make 80 gb pen drives...let alone for 500bucks....Now this is one Diwali dud firecracker
