LabView and Matlab

My friend is working on a project of a robotic arm. So hes using labview for the software implementation. For the image processing part he wants to use a code written in matlab , so is there a way to interface labview and matlab ?

Any sort of help will be greatly appreciated

^i dont know anything about those software except this fact, Labiew supports integration of C++/C/MFC based dlls and matlab program/code/functions can be exported as C/C++ dlls using matlab-C-Compiler!
