I have recently purchased a replacement battery fro one of my old laptops (Lenovo X120e). As soon as I got the battery I tried to charge it. The battery had 82% charge when it arrived. When I connected the charger, the battery keeps charging and disconnecting every 2 seconds.
If I leave the charger on for a very long time it will eventually charge up to 100% and I can continue working. The minute the charger is connected when the battery level drops below 100%, charge / disconnect cycle continues.

Can you tell me what the problem could be? Is it the battery or the charger? The charger was working OK with the old battery but then the battery was dead and it was stuck at 7% charge all the time.
