Laptops Laptop Crashes frequently

I have a SONY VAIO VGN-FE790.

Recently i've been getting the Blue Screen a lot and the laptop just restarts.

On restarting it says "Windows has recovered from a serious error" and shows the LOG details etc.

Im assuming its faulty RAM, could it be anything else ?

wrong place to post @mods please move it to laptops section and Gr1M when get the error u get the tab called click here for technical details ,there will be something called as mod name ,can u post that ,if u dont have it try to run chkdsk on your laptop from the recovery using a windows XP disk ,it will help u know whether there is a problem in HDD.If u wanna know how to run chkdsk follow Microsoft article KB315265
 
folks,try to get into safe mode and check whether u get the same error message if it doesnt apper then do a a clean boot ie disable all third party services and third party apps and restart the computer in normal mode u have to do clean boot in safe mode itself from msconfig ,still u get the error message try chkdsk / p first and chkdsk /r in recovery console ,follow these steps and lemme know the result.

Ive installed the program that seemed to be causing the problem.

Hope it solves the crashing issue.
