Laptops Laptop Screen Replacement - DIY, or repair center in Bangalore?

Hi,

I bought a Dell xps 15 9570 in 2018 from the US for my partner. In 2021, the screen started giving problem, with ghosting and lines. Since it was pandemic, and we had a monitor, and so we managed.

I am in Bangalore now, and we took it to the Dell repair center in Marathalli for screen replacement. However, they have kept it for a month but not been able to get it to work.

They said they have ordered a screen from China, but since there is lockdown there, things are not coming.

I have replaced parts including wifi, battery and battery successfully earlier.

I was thinking of doing the replacement myself.

Any suggestions, whether to risk it or not? Currently the system is working like a CPU with an external monitor.

Also, if you know a good laptop repair store in Bangalore, please point me towards it.
