PC Peripherals Laptop under 40K

Hi ,

My brother wants to buy a laptop and if possible , under the following configuration but he has a budget of only 40K
Proccy ...
DVD writer
512MB RAM
60GB hard disk
LAN enabled :rofl: and other things .. also good battery life something like 3 hours at least ..

any recommendations ?

Impossible.
Closest would be acer aspire 3003 with...
Proccy AMD sempron (heats up too much)
DVD writer
256MB RAM (upgraded to 512)
60GB hard disk
LAN enabled
battery life 1.5-2 hours
for 35K
 
or the compaq V2402 with Celeron M (Nice VFM proccy) with 256MB, Radeon 200 (better than the Intel POS gfx), 40 GB, DVD combo, wireless, BT

No DVD writer and 40GB vs 60 GB...

but on the good side...3 hrs battery, nice bright widescreen, integrated BT, doesn't heat up..and fairly thin & light

This sud be arnd 36-37K
 
Hey take a look at the pricelist here. Im buying the cheapest one for less than Rs35000 with taxes and all. Its got the Celeron M 1.4GHz, 256MB ram, WiFi, DVD Combo and Intel Chipset.
