The x220 is not a gaming laptop.if you are looking for gaming specifically, check the asus gs series or the m14x.m14x has fantastic build quality eventhough it comes at a premium.

that msi laptop is good actually if you want something slim.it's not as bulky as the gs series or the alienware.

go for it if you cannot increase your current budget.

MSI offers 2 years warranty as standard. I have an MSI cr400x which after 3 years of use and abuse looks as good as new apart from the battery conking off.(gives 1 hour battery life). MSI laptops have good build quality and the after sales is handled by Smartlink formerly known as Digilink. The after sales support is good.

I m in a confusion now ... 2 variants r there of GE620DX

option 1 : http://www.msi.com/product/nb/GE620DX.html

option 2. http://www.flipkart.com/msi-gaming-series-ge620dx-laptop/p/itmd377zufsvw7at?pid=COMD377NGMRPQNZ2&_l=rNOfRA_2s1pRNn46QI4BxA--&_r=NEyI_hwxFmXmMf6Csprhag--&ref=e41b72be-adca-4cd6-9093-7923aada94de

THe product which i m getting is option 2 fr abt 52K .... but after seeing option 1 i m more keen to get it evn at higher price .. please advice ... but if the performance is not tooo differnt then i would buy the cut down one ( option 2) ... d main bottle neck i m worried abt is the HDD speed its 5400 rpm ..
<
only if it was 7200 rpm .. i would hv managed with the lower version... ) .. one way is to buy it n then change it manually bt i fear that i would be loosing a lot of money fr that ..

Check online on forums if the MSI supports Msata ssds. Then pick a 128 gb msata for 180$ and run it as the os drive and run games from it.

so i would hv to replace the 640 GB sata HDD with the SSD ?? n den 640 GB becomes a waste ..taht is what i was talking abt .. moreover i dnt knw if it will suport or not .. i m kinda novice in these things .. so evn if i ask n get a answer fr that i wouldnt understnd it ..

Pick 2nd one + SSD. Bang for buck.

I don't know exactly about "mSATA", but a laptop will of course support SSDs. And you can also replace ODD.

so i replace the HDD with SSD ( but that will limit my storage to only 128gb.. dats d lowest price ) .. but wat is odd ( is it d optical drive ?) n if it is then y would i change d dvd drive ?? what will i replace it with ?

Yes, ODD = optical drive. Since you're gonna get low on storage after removing HDD that's why I'm suggesting you to replace ODD instead of HDD coz these days, we hardly use any DVDs/CDs, though this is purely personal.

yeah that is a gud option but the price is abt 51000 in some other links ... plus the gfx card ( gtx630) is not that gud . apart from that ,,, it wins in all other things .. i would hv surely gone with that ..

getting a alienware m14x ... fr a really gud price .. i think will go fr it today .,..

though my bugdet overshot by a lot . but the offer was really tempting ..
