he Lava XOLO A700 Dual-SIM Android smartphone is now available at online retailer FlipKart for Rs 9,999. According to the listing the smartphone will be shipped between six to eight days. Unlike the previous XOLO X900, this model does not feature an Intel made mobile processor, but rather utilizes an ARM based dual-core chipset clocked at 1GHz.Apart from featuring Dual-SIM capabilities the XOLO A700 is trotting a 4.5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 960×540 pixels, 512MB of RAM, a 5-megapixel rear camera, a 0.3-megapixel front facing camera, a microSD card slot, 4GB of internal memory, a suite of sensors, and a 1,700 mAh battery with six hours of 2G talk time and three hours of 3G talk time.
Interestingly, the Dual-SIM capabilities come with a caveat that only enables 3G+2G connectivity and both SIMs cannot have 3G networks running simultaneously. As far as the operating system is concerned, the XOLO A700 runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

yeah man...wish they start releasing mobiles with 1 GB ram now....512mb is good for daily normal use but it gets slower with prolonged use !
 
I hope this does not go the way a lot of other phones, which look impressive on paper but have issues in real world usage. If Lava can replicate the quality and user experience of its flagship XOLO model, on A700 this can be a huge hit.
 
^^ i dont find any problems with that chip set, it will give you the same performance as any other phone under 20k. I don't know what people expect from 10k phones 8 cores ?
 
All the nuts who are saying that MadiaTek 6575/77 chipsets are not good are stupid! they provide great value for money. I am using ZP100 an 8,500 device that runs all the latest HD games fine and I have no problems at all with it be it web-browsing or media playback. yes only one gripe with is that drops frames even in 720p files.

About the A700, This device had 1 GB Ram I would have bought two of these!! Damn you Lava!!
Now I have no choice but Newman N1!!
