Monitors LED monitor for PS3

Hi,
I am planning to buy a PS3.. I dont have a hdtv at home.. So i was wondering if i can buy a led monitor instead to connect it to the PS3.. Can i just plug and play or should i use any convertors.. And which monitor would be the best in 7k-8k category..

Yes you could buy a led monitor and it is plug and play with PS3 through HDMI/DVI cable. I am using Dell ST2220L (full hd) and quite satisfied with it. I bought it for Rs.7.7k some three weeks back.

How is Dell when compared to Benq.. g2220hd model. I have heard a lot about it.

Another query.

Flipkart is selling PS3 for 19990 and the same is sold in Letsbuy for 18999 with iron man and the shoot games free..

I am not sure about letsbuy services...
 
I decided to buy Dell over somewhat better service support than Benq. I bought it from letsbuy and they delivered the next day as we are i the same city.
 
I bought dell st2220l this past saturday afternoon n i just received it...the only problem is that they pack it so well dat it takes 20 mins to open it :p

Im lookin to buy ps3 in after diwali...waiting for it to run latest *ahem* games first :)
