Chinese manufacturer Lenovo has launched its new flagship smarthpone Vibe X ( IdeaPhone S960 ) at IFA in Berlin today.

The Lenovo Vibe X smartphone comes encased in style with a premium polycarbonate body and an advanced mold, laser-engraved 3D tactile finish. Its slim, featherweight frame continues its focus on premium design by measuring just 6.9mm, as thin as a pencil, and it weighs in at less than other smartphones its size - just 121 grams (0.26 lbs), about the weight of five AA batteries.

The Vibe X comes with 5 inch Full HD 1080p IPS display with 20/20 vision technology and 441 ppi and covered by Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by Mediatek MT6589T 1.5GHz Cortex A7 quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage. It runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS.

The phone packs a 13MP rear shooter with BSI sensor, AF and LED flash and a 5MP front facing camera with wide angle 84 degree lens. It is powered by 2000mAh battery.

Lenovo has not annnounced the price of Vibe X yet. It will be launched in China next month and in other countries in December 2013.

I feel they should stop using the Mediatek's if they want to be taken seriously in the top end spectrum and pack in in more juice(battery) for the phone to last much longer on a single charge.
