The smartphone can be called as ‘Lite’ variant of ZUK Z2 Pro, which the company had unveiled in April.
Lenovo Zuk Z2 is priced at 1,799 Yuan (roughly Rs 18,400) and is only available in China. Lenovo Zuk Z2 features a 5-inch Full HD display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. Lenovo Zuk Z2 comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB built-in storage.
On the camera front, Lenovo ZUK Z2 features a 13MP primary camera and an 8MP front shooter. The rear camera gets EIS, f/2.2 aperture and phase detection autofocus. Like Sony’s flagship cameras, Zuk Z2 has support for slow motion video shooting at 960fps.
The 8.45mm thick Zuk Z2 comes with 3500mAh battery and supports Qualcomm’s latest Quick Charge 3.0 technology. Lenovo Zuk Z2 supports LTE (including the Indian bands) and Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1 and uses USB Type-C port for charging.
Lenovo Zuk Z2 comes with a fingerprint scanner embedded into the home button, a trend we are seeing in the smartphone space. The device has been announced in Black and White colour variants.
The phone's software has also been modified, now featuring the stock Android on Marshmallow 6.0 compared to the Cyanogen OS in Zuk Z1.
Lenovo is also offering a wireless charger worth $45 with the handset.

Non-Chinese brands won't be around for long ;-)

Then there's the UMi Super :

Take their latest, the UMi Super, which offers a full-metal build, octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor with 4GB of RAM, a 4,000mAh battery with quick-charge and USB Type-C, a Panasonic 13MP camera, and a FHD 5.5″ display made by Sharp. It even has a fingerprint sensor. One of the best parts of the UMi Super, and all UMi phones, is that they come with 100% stock Android 6.0, like a Nexus. We love that. The price for the Super is $249.99, but the company is offering a $70 off coupon if you sign up on their site or keep an eye on their forum post, bringing the price down to a jaw-dropping $179.99.

Nice to see more and more manufacturers offering stock Android.

The company though will be launching the smartphone as the Lenovo Z2 Plus in India....

Unlike the ZUK Z1, the Z2 is priced a tad higher at 1,800 Yuan, which is approximately Rs 18,400. At this price range, the smartphone will face competition from the likes of the OnePlus 2 and the Sony Xperia XA to name a few. But given the specifications, it seems to be punching above its weight and has its sights set on the likes of the Xiaomi Mi 5 and the OnePlus 3, which also run on Snapdragon 820.

Wonder what OS/"skin" .

Sony xperia XA? LOL

OS should be stock If we go by the china launch. Though you can expect little Lenovo bloat.

According to this speculative post, a version of the phone with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage will be priced at the equivalent of $299 USD.

Nougat update is coming out for this and other Lenovo phones in May this year.

Seems to be a good phone if the update solves many of the bugs this phone has. One guy on XDA said heating issues have gone and battery life has improved.
