whats the point of having tags when you don't get notified that you are tagged

Whats the point of tagging yourself when you already know that you want to talk to yourself.
@sandeepsachin - I think tags don't work on ourselves

Seems you have forgotten, this limit was always there.

Anyway even without the limit if you do that one of the mods will delete your post and give you a warning that you should not make posts that do not add value to the conversation. For a post like you mentioned there is a like system and a reputation system.
