Need your input here.

Which companies provide International warranty with there products?

It would be of great help to know what products we can buy from US (or China or wherever its cheap) and what brands we need to buy to avail International warranty incase of RMA.

Hard Disks (Internal or External):

Seagate - Confirmed back in 2009, Now its just a Yes.

Western Digtal - Maybe (Some successful experiences)

CPU:

Intel - Yes, Confirmed

AMD - No

GPU:

Sapphire - Probable (Some successful experiences)

Monitor:

Apple - Yes.

PSU:

Corsair - Maybe if you ship back to U.S. (No experiences)

RAM:

Corsair - Ship back to U.S. on your cost, you get replacement UPS'd to you for free.

Transcend - Maybe

LAPTOPS/NOTEBOOKS:

Asus - Confirmed by calling CC in 2009 (2-year global)

Acer - Yes (1-Year global)

Apple - Yes

IBM - Maybe (Some successful experience)

MOTHERBOARD

Gigabyte - Maybe (Some successful experiences)

USB DRIVES

Kingston - Most probably

Transcend - Maybe

KEYBOARD

Microsoft - Maybe, if you insist

HEADPHONES

Sennheiser - Yes
 
WD provides internatinal warranty on external drives.

i recollect reading intel entertaining int. warranty for their cpus

sapphire provides international warranty i guess.

not aware of any other.
 
I heard abt Sapphire + Corsair too.

Even Transcend, Gigabyte no issue. Member on other forum RMAed his UK purchase Giga mobo locally, n kkndka RMAed his Transcend aXe RAM in Chennai. :hap2:

i have been postponing ep45-ud3p tx750 purchace since a long time coz of the same issue :(

if it so then time to use the import service :D
 
Not too sure about gigabyte AND about corsair.

afaik arun_halo tried and was unable to RMA his aussie purchased board (or was that an MSI board? :S)
 
Jatt.inc TE member RMAed Gigabyte P35 DS3R in India.

i got my gigabyte p35 ds3R for 120 canadian from ncix, there was an o/c issue with it, wudnt oc the processor, RMA'd it with gigabyte india, got a new replacement and currenty have E6320 @ 3.04 @stock cooling. Pretty good boards, beauty to look at.

and U can ask Shripad, Corsair has International warranty !

Corsair products, specially ram carry international warranty and they replaced my old XMS series bought from US without asking any questions last year. No receipt nothing. they took the dead stick. gave new one next day in my dealer's hand.

Corsair does provide International Warranty but it requires you to send the defective component to the US office. I'd personally verified this from their forums. Tirupati will not entertain anything you might have purchased from abroad. Send it to US and they'd send back the replacement via UPS for free.
 
Ok ty guys, but lots of uncertainity regarding different agencies like tirupati etc etc.

tirupati is not now the distri alone. corsair india is setup so they will entertain warranty here i guess. first it was only tirupati now i think 3-4 distributors have been appointed by corsair
 
it will be gr8 if reg. dealers here can confirm these querries wid their distris or wid manufacturers directly :)

will make life very easy for many of us..
