Android Lollipop 5.1 notification bar, carrier/SIM name displayed ?

Just got the Lollipop 5.1 update for Moto G 1st gen.

I'm getting "Vodafone IN" displayed at the left of the notification bar. This is how it's supposed to be ? No screenshot I've seen for 5.1 has that. Uses up quite a bit of the notification bar.
 
Yup. That's how it is on my phone too. One issue I notice now is that the screen does not go as dim as it used to on sliding the brightness bar to the lowest.
 
You can disable it in the settings.
Settings >> Under wireless & networks, click on more >> cellular networks >> show network name in notification bar

And yeah, the 5.1 update has infused new life into my Moto G 1st gen. Phone has become quite responsive with very less lag.
