Looking for a monochrome laser printer.

Hey folks.

I'm looking for a monochrome laser printer for a print load of approximately 10-20 pages per day. Printing is to be done on 120gsm paper. The space is limited so looking for a relatively smaller printer. Advanced features like WiFi printing etc. are not needed. Just simple monochrome print via USB is needed. Most importantly, the printer should be very reliable and long lasting.

I've had pretty bad experience with HP in the past, both laser and InkTank. My overall experience with Epson InkTank and Canon Pixma InkTank has been good. I haven't had much experience with laser printers in the past and don't know what all to look for while buying it so need your help.

Looking it to buy immediately, in the ongoing Amazon Sale.

I am partial to HP Laserjet 1020. I think I have more than 15 of these in my offices. Long lasting workhorse, easy refilling and repairs. There is a newer model now HP Laserjet 1008a Amazon
But if you want to digress from HP as you have had a bad experience with them Go with Brother. In my case it is opposite, I have had only bad experiences with brother. A good brother option is Brother-HL-B2000D. It has a larger paper tray and higher ppm. Just check the feasibility of toner refilling with your local vendor.

I was researching this a few months back, too, for a school.

Ended up on Brother DCP-B7500D for my choice. Not sure if they're still available, though. (Details in the screenshot above)

Wireless version: https://www.brother.in/en/products/all-printers/printers/dcp-b7535dw

The school did buy them, and I haven't heard from them since. I suppose that's a good thing, since they regularly used to call me because they had issues with their HP laser printer.

If you want, I could call them and ask for their experience, but Brother printers seem really good and not-scummy, unlike some HP models.

I'll suggest buying the wireless one and hooking it up to Ethernet. I used to have a CUPS server at home, and could print from wherever I wanted using some Android app that connected to CUPS. Your mileage may vary on that, though.

I was told 2900B is a solid printer. It's costly though. I made the mistake of saving some money and skip it and go for some hp p1108 or whatever. Don't get the hp is all.
