Hello everyone,
I'm new here , I came upon this website and it seems pretty cool. Apologies if I'm breaking any rules by creating this thread.

I've used the same laptop , Lenovo Y520 for about 5 years now. It has Intel i7 7700hq and GTX 1050ti.
It has served me well for a long time but now it can't run modern AAA titles at 60 fps even on low settings.

I'm looking for a thin and light(preferably) gaming laptop that will last me at least another 4-5 years without needing to upgrade.
I game mostly on an external monitor that's capped at 75hz so 60 fps at Ultra is fine by me. However, I'd like a strong CPU as I do many other tasks as well.

Looking forward to hearing your suggestions!

On a side note, should I upgrade my laptop now or wait this generation out? As everything seems so expensive these days. :/

Here are a few options

ASUS TUF Dash F15 (2021) Core i5 11th Gen - (16 GB/512 GB SSD/Windows 10 Home/6 GB Graphics/NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060/144 Hz) FX516PM-HN156TS Gaming Laptop (15.6 inch, Moonlight White, 2 KG, With MS Office)

Now coming down to choosing -
The best performance is by MSI GP65 and ACER Nitro 5, the best in looks and battery are Asus Rog-Strix-g15, and the MSI Creator, the okayish value but hey I have new components which are really powerful is the ASUS TUF Dash F15 which has a 4 core processor - please not all processors here are 6 cores otherwise.

I'd personally go for the Nitro 5 whenever its in stock but if I were just gonna game and not travel much Id get the MSI GP65, if I travel a lot I'd get either the Creator or the TUF Dash F15
