Looking to get a new DTh connection, who should i subscribe to ?

Im looking to get a new DTH connection for the 2 TVs in my house after Diwali.

Now the point is i like to watch all Hindi, hindi-english movie channels ,sports lifestyle , music & discovery type channels as well . Im not a big fan of news channels though.

so can you guys suggest me the best & VFM DTh service that i can get in Gurgaon. also getting a good idea about the costs & subscriptions involved would be good as well

IMO..the best DTH is what ur local cable walla will give[his DTH scheme].

nearly 50 extra channel. as compared to dish, tata, airtel ,big etc.

both tata and dish dont give NEO :(

only downside of local cablewalla is that ----u cant transfer the DTH if ur shifting to a new town or city AND also service of ur local cable wala.

personally i own DISH ,its good and got it since i will be shifting to a new city.

But my freind has Local DTH---they do have some amazing international channels :)

Er DTH is DirectToHome , there is nothing like "cablewalaDTH' .

and tata)Sky has Neo Sports + Neo Cricket , I am personally using tatasky and it works pretty good , there is very very little downtime [maybe an hour in a month , when there are very heavy showers or some particular galactic event]

i am thinking of going for Tata Sky+ but havent seen any reviews yet
 
^ he meant cable wallah's CAS (STB)
they have the most vfm package..generally only 1 package with all channels...they may not be providing some channels like neo sports... but whenever thr is a india match going on.. he replaces 1 of the sports channel and gives neo sports.
 
get the cable wala's digital box or w/e its called. All channels u get in various assorted "packages" from airtel, reliance etc.. are all included at a nominal cost. I pay 200 bucks for quite a lot of channels including foreign regional ones.. Quality is great too...
 
before you go with the local cable wallah , check out their service first.The biggest problem with cable wallahs is that channels keep disappearing. I would suggest you go with tata sky.
 
+1 to local STB (BTW my cablewala gave me a hathway STB for Rs 1500 initially and I am paying Rs. 200 every month enjoying all channels especially the tamil ones which I miss a lot. My neighbour pays same 200 for cable connection without the STB ... pathetic and with grains.)
