Would really appreciate if some of the Macbook owners can post their Amperage readings while running on battery
(what good are these readings, well, for starters, the system battery capacity (in mAH) divided by the power draw (mA) will give you a real time value of the battery backup time
Mine reads:
Display (dimmest) with wifi on: -744 mA
Display (medium) with wifi on: - 789mA
Display Max with wifi On : - 919mA
Full set of readings:
Open System Profiler>Power
You need to refresh the readings (Command-R) a few seconds after changing the brightness (or any other setting that would change the power draw)
Also, can you please post your system sleep power drain (You can get the value by keeping system profile>Power window open , close the lid (put system to sleep)
The wake system after few seconds and quickly refresh the power readings (Cmd+R) - The value you will get for the first few seconds is your system's sleep drain
Reason why I am acting so fussy about these readings is here:

Now I am trying to assess if the notebook is able to manage the power draw efficiently while running on batteries
even though the notebook is eligible for a DOA, the process is going to be a bit convoluted because it is an international DOA and seems like it may take upto 2-4 weeks
