Messenger Plus has spyware?

Does the messenger plus addon for msn messenger have spyware?

well yes and no. it does come bundled with a sponsor program but it clearly asks you whether to install it along with msn plus when you open the set up files. if you do say no, which you should :> you won't have a problem. i've been using msn plus for years and its been perfectly safe for me. Webroot Spy Sweeper tells me that i do not have spyware. however, the paranoid MS AntiSpyware will report MSN Plus as spyware even if you do not install the sponsor program.

Never expect any FREE THINGS from internet especially if it is a Program/software. And SEarch Engines like Google, MSN, Yahoo etc. are there to earn more than what they invest.

Reneage, can u elaborate more on that, i mean what exactly does it do?

It's a useless software anyway. Most of the features are designed to irritate others like stealing their display pictures, removing the smiley cap or clogging their b/w with 640x480 display pictures.

The only useful feature is it allows opening links in the default browser and not just IE.
