Well i recently installed the microsoft antispyware beta1 on my pc and did a scan to find 19 infections.I decided to get them removed but lucky for me i made a restore point before doing so.The program successfully removed them but on restarting i got a error message saying could not listen at some port(60.. something).I didnt realise what that meant or what difference it made but while trying to come online i realised that my pc did not detect my active triband connection.I also use DU meter and could see bytes being transferred but my browser or dload manager or windows did not detect the connection.I used system restore and got back to my previous settings and could use the net connection however the spyware was back too.So could someone plz tell me why this is happening and any other suggestions?

personally speaking, the M$ anti-XXX are worth nothing. Even after picking out things the msgs still come up. I highly recommend a manual tool like hijackthis to be used, Ofcourse it needs some knowledge of OS administration to use it.

If u a newbie, then get Lavasoft Ad-aware SE Personal and Spybot - Search & Destroy.
Run both of them consecutively for most effective protection... ;)

BTW, I've got Ad-aware SE Professional with Ad-watch and Spybot -S & D. :cool1:

Don't ask how... :P
It's obvious... And don't post the answer here if you know it... :ohyeah:
