Microsoft continues to polish one of its major bread-winners
For those of you that have been using the Office 2007 Beta 2 release, you've noticed that the icons used and splash screens for the applications are the older versions used in Office 2003. Microsoft has revealed a revamped set of icons that are more in keeping with Office 2007's fresh new look.

If Microsoft can stick to its revised launch schedule for Office 2007, we can expect to see the new office suite on store shelves in the opening months of 2007. Prices for Office 2007 will range from $149 for Office Home and Student 2007 to $499 for Office Professional 2007.

In other Office 2007 news, Microsoft recently announced its support of the Open Document Format (ODF) into Word 2007. The change comes as a surprise to many as Microsoft previously stated that ODF was an inferior format, claiming that it required more processor power and more memory to support.
