Android [MIUI] Redmi 5A - Cannot send sms Vodafone IN error 69

Hi Folks,

I have just received brand new Redmi 5A also replace my existing sim card to nano sim card. I can make calls but cannot send or receive text. Tried using default miui message app, android message app as well but failed. It gives error as "Can't send message with Vodafone IN - error 69". I checked sms center number which is +919820005444 which seems fine for postpaid connection. Tried to update it via *#*#4636#*#* but still failed.

Please help.

If you just changed your SIM, wait for 24 hours. There is a cool-off period when you change SIM cards to avoid misuse.

Hi Crazy_Eddy,

Yes you are right. I had visited Vodafone gallery and they informed me the same. Thing is sim was collected by dad and they didn't informed at that time. Anyways SMS has starting working now.
