Re: MObo for Gaming,overclocking

Nishu,
I have been working on rigging up a 'gaming machine' for myself too.
But, I am planning to go the 'Intel' way rather than the AMD config I see that you have chosen.
I have heard a lot about AMD processers, but have no clue regarding them at all.
Would have loved to help you out, and discuss things,
but so long friend....

Re: MObo for Gaming,overclocking

You meant Phenom II X2 550 BE right ?

Mention your budget. Otherwise there are a lot of mobos available in the market.

Re: MObo for Gaming,overclocking

How about going for Phenom II X4 955 BE with good gaming support and cost effective mobo + Processor ~ 18k

Re: MObo for Gaming,overclocking

hi presently i am looking for a mobo which is cost effective and futureproof.
my picks are asus m4a78t-e which scored better in every benchmark i have seen till now.My budget is ~16k for mobo or processor.Even other gx boards which are good in gaming and performance are also apreciated.Thanks for \the people who are replying andf sorry in replys.

Re: MObo for Gaming,overclocking

you should try for it:

1. Asus M3N-HT Deluxe/HDMI = $149.99 - 189.99

2. EVGA nForce 780i SLI FTW = $150.00 - 190.00

3. EVGA P55 FTW = $200~$250

Those mobos are recommended...

Re: MObo for Gaming,overclocking

A Phenom II X2 550BE, and a compatible Biostar mobo will just do justice to your needs. But what resolution are you going to play games at?

hi guys sorry for delay in replys as i dont own a internet connection.here are things which i liked fir my rig;
amd phenom 2x4 955BE,
2x2 gb kingston ram,
500 gb seagate hdd;
I need a am3 mobo for the thing.The rig is for gaming and overclcking.I checked the benchmark result of asus m4a78t-e but i need the opinion of ur people on mobo.I am only looking forward to amd 790 gx boards.And thanks to the pplo who r replying.

I need a am3 mobo for the thing.

Phenom II X4 965 C3 125W @ 9.3k
MSI 790GX-G65 AM3 @ 6.9k
Corsair TW3X4G-1600C9DHX 4GB Kit @ 6.6k
500GB Seagate @ 2.4k

Total = 25.2k

Is msi 790gx-g65 better for overclocking when compared to asus m4a78t-e,i dont want spend huge amount on cabinet so can anyone tell me a cabinet which has enough cooling for overclocking and with psu.Mybudget for cabinet with psu is 3k-4k.

^^^

Whole config in 30k

Phenom II X4 955 3.2GHz B.E. @ 7.7k

ASUS 785G EVO @ 6.6k

4GB DDr3 1600MHz C9 Corsair Titanium @ 5.8k

500GB Seagate @ 2.4k

Cm Elite 310 @ 1.6k

Corsair VX450W @ 4.1k

total = 24.1k

Now take GPU of ur choice:-

XFX HD4870 1GB @ 9.3k

XFX HD4890 1GB @ 11.8k

PowerColour HD5770 1GB @ 10.5k

My vote goes to HD5770.

+1 for the Biostar TA790GX A3+, have heard good things about it. Don't know about the a.s.s., you should check that out.

Your budget for cabinet+PSU is 3-4k?

CM 310 is good. CM build quality and design is good for the price.

I'm not very PSU aware, since you plan to run a 955+4890(?) I don't think there is a PSU that will fit in your budget and run that combo. Maybe Gigabyte 460W @ 2.2k.

PS: You might want to mention where you're from; members will be able to guide you with regards to a.s.s. and prices/availability. Also, mention your monitor and resolution.

Biostar TA 790 GX 128M - 5k in bangalore. Bought it last month.

In my opinion the Zebronics Bijli for 1.5k is almost the same as CM Elite.

If you want a cabinet which belongs to the next best category, go for Lancool K 56 @ 4.5k approx. It comes with cable management, bottom mounted PSU and the likes.

Your Choice of Asus M4a78t-e is very good.If u are looking for a gx mobo only then this is the best board with gr8 performance and price combination.It is perfect for OCing with either X2-550 or x4-955. But I think if you are building a gaming rig then your Case and PSU budget should be around 7-8K other wise the setup will be very unstable with high end components and low end case and especially PSU.Give good care in Buying a PSU cos its the base of your rig.Look for a CM Case and and a CM or Glacial Tech PSU.;)
