Else settle fer a P35 board from Biostar as Udit says...

Q6600... 12.2k....

A chieftech case... fer abt 3.2k...

A CM extreme 600w supply fer abt 3k...

An 8600GTS card fer abt 10k...

Logitech mouse/KB bundle fer 800...

Biostar TP35D2-A7 based on the P35 chipset for about 5k rocks, as Udit alluded to. Total steal at that price if you ask me. :D

ya but then he got Abit IP35-E for 5.2k + shipping so thats a bigger steal :p

And even if local warranty is not fast and great, buying a component with high likelihood of developing bugs if not imminent death w/o local warranty is so weird. :(

I can understand those who have a passion for h/w, OCing getting ub3r h/w not found here- they don't even regret a dead mobo.
But for a regular user who mosly has one sole rig at his/her disposal, i dunno how safe/wise it is.

And the TP-35D2A7 ain't no slouch- even for fairly high OCing.
I don't think most are gunning for a super-pi record.:p

lol see the super-pi section for the scores on the IP35-E....handling a Q6600 decently at 4.1Ghz speaks highly of this board. I had the IP35PRO also in my hand & it sure did dissapoint me :(
