i am a hardcore gamer(crysis,cod4 type). i hav planned to buy following:amd 4400+ (Rs3800), jetway690g mobo(Rs2500) , xfx 8600gt (Rs5000), transcend 2x1gb 800mhz (Rs2000). Is it good enough. Any 1 with better option at around same budget.(Rs 13.5k)

^^lol i did NOT mean to cut down on the GPU,i meant to get a mobo without integrated graphics and to use the money saved to get a better processor.

a 4xxx C2D will be much better in gaming applications than the proc you intend to buy,but you will have to do with an older mobo model to keep it within budget.

if you can raise your budget somewhat you can get a p35 chipset mobo which will be compatible with newer procs that come out.

the setup what he has written in the first post is actually good, a entry level dual core is enough to handle any present generation game. One just need a good graphics card. and also tell me if there is amy other motherboard w/o intergrated graphics better than the Jetway board @ that price point :p

It's a good config for 13.5K. Still, here is a little more power for u with just a marginal increase in budget

amd X2 5200+ @ 5.5K
jetway690g mobo @ 2.5K
transcend 2x1gb 800mhz @ 2K
GFX 8600GT @ 5K (Just make sure that you buy one with DDR3 and not DDR2)
Total 15K
