Hey guys... i have had this rig for over two yrs now.

P4 2.4 HT
Intel 865 GBF mobo
2x512MB DDR266 Hynix
Onboard grafics.

I have 15k at my disposal right now.

I want to buy the Gainward / XFX 6600GT gfx card.

im guessing that wud be about 10.5k

Also i saw he same proccy getting insanely overclocked to over 3.6gigs. I wanna OC mine to some extent. Since intel mobos prohibit OCing. Can u pls suggest any good mobo for the matter?. Also the 6600GT is cheaper for PCX than AGP. So, any mobo with PCX on it wud be better. :)

urs is a 478 pin cpu
so the 478 pin boards with pcx are not available here.

For the 478 board, Asus P4P800 SE is the board.

Thats the board, touched 4 GHz on the Celeron 2.4D

Excellent board.

Asus P4P800-SE is an awesome mobo for overclocking. Not exactly sure of price.. should be around 5K. Dump those ddr266 dimms and get some ddr400 dimms.

thanx a lot guys.

i tried disposing off those ddr266..nobody was willing to exchange them. But i guess i will buy ddr400 anyway.

btw isnt ASROCk a gud mobo?..its quite cheaper compared to asus.
is XFX 6600gt the best card in the 10k range?

Big is a better card. Its the same as the BFG 6600GT(same cooler, same design). The bfg card is supposed to be the best 6600GT card available.
