hey all,
I need to upgrade the psu in my system.

my config is as follows,

1) intel core i5 4690k
2) asrock z97 extreme 4
3) amd 6850 2gb GPU
4) intel 520 SSD
5) 2 WD HDD
6) Optical Drive.

I have corsair cx430 pus and it seems to have failed.
my previous system was running fine for 4 5 yrs but now not working.
it would power up for second.
cpu fan would spin up for few seconds but would shut down.i tried swapping out RAM and all components but only PSU remains to be swapped out.

what can we do?

can we upgrade to Modular PSU considering corsair is 5 yrs old and most likely caput.

i considered seasonic modular for 5900 for 520 watts ,it has 5 yrs warranty, but today swapnil from prime abgb confused me with antec 620 watt modular pus for 4400.

what do I do ?

thanks.

hi,
as suggested I got 520gm model which is modular seasonic.
website of both tirupati and seasonic says 5 yrs warranty but box says 3 yrs warranty.
what do I do?

it solved my pc problem.

only one default modular cable is extra. I am not able to find its use.
its 8 pin so neither my amd ati 6850 can accept it nor it has any use.
another issue is distance between sata cable is short.

otherwise its awesome power supply.

my corsair cx430 was culprit.no more corsair stuff for me.[DOUBLEPOST=1433045688][/DOUBLEPOST]hey,
not starting another thread.
which M2 ssd to choose.
my motherboard supports m2 .
would like to see my options.

1) raid of 2 intel 520 ssd
2) M2 ssd

what would be best.

M.2 PCIe SSDs are definitely way to go if you have the budget for them. Performance difference is a lot but these are also expensive in Indian Markets & not many options are available here right now. So in the end you would have to see the price\performance ratio and what suits your needs and wallet the most.
