Monitors Monitor Data Cable with one end DVI (for PC) the other end VGA (for Monitor)

hello guys,

I think my monitor data cable is causing some issues as i noticed it is flickering sometimes , especially during the windows boot menu and ver rarely inside windows.

Now i decided to go for a monitor data cable. i use 9600gt and i want a cable where one end must be DVI (for PC) and the other end must be VGA (for monitor).
I am in chennai. Is it possible to get this type of cable in richie st.,

Also tell me what is the name for this type of cable ...

no dude, i have the adapter. The thing is i want a direct cable. Thats it.

my brother's monitor works flawlessly in my pc. So the cable must be faulty, right?. But i havent tested my monitor in my brothers pc.

And also the internal operations in the CPU viz booting, loading windows, etc are performing good and there are also no beeps ( i have installed a beeper in the mobo)
